Dr. Anthony J. DeNapoli is the Associate Dean of International Affairs, Senior International Officer and Professor of Education at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University, a Master of Arts degree from New York University, a Professional Diploma in School Administration, Supervision and Leadership from Long Island University, and a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Prior to assuming his current administrative position at NSU, Dr. DeNapoli served as Executive Director, Dean and Executive Dean of International and External Affairs and professor at NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, and as a professor of educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, and foreign languages at schools and several colleges and universities in the USA.
Since 1995, Dr. DeNapoli has played a key role in the development of global initiatives at NSU, including the implementation and supervision of numerous international programs and university partnerships in 18 countries in Latin American, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. He has spent the past 42 years of his career promoting international education, global leadership, bilingualism, cross cultural understanding, the internationalization of curriculum, campus globalization, and the development of innovative online, onsite, and blended instructional programs.
Dr. DeNapoli is the recipient of multiple awards, and has been recognized at the local, state, national, and international levels for his leadership in international education. He is a frequent presenter at conferences across the globe, speaks several languages, and has visited 92 countries.
Dr. DeNapoli is committed to making a difference in the lives of the students and faculty with whom he works on a daily basis. He believes that all students and faculty must develop a “global mindset” in order to succeed in today’s interdependent world
