  • 5 Great Apps For Any Student

On Sunday, the US College Expo 2017 made its last stop in Toronto. All four cities were a huge success! Part of the success is thanks to the wonderful guest speakers that shared their stories and gave advice to hundreds of students and their families.

In Ottawa, guest speaker John Haime had some great advice for the crowd. John is the Co-Founder of New Edge Performance, a group of professionals that help athletes improve their performance. He recommended five great apps that students should download to help them with their schoolwork and studying. If you’re the type of student who always forgets when assignments are due and constantly has loose papers shuffling around in your backpack, these apps will definitely benefit you.  Here is a breakdown of the five apps.

iStudiez Pro

The iStudiez Pro lets you manage all of your homework and tasks in one place. There’s a planner, where you can manage all of your courses. There’s also real-time view where you can have an overview of all your classes and other tasks for that day. You can also keep track of your grades and assignments. All of the app’s data can be synced to your computer, phone or tablet (Android, Apple or Windows).

My Study Life

My Study Life has the same concept as the iStudiez Pro. Developers say that once you download the app, you can say goodbye to your paper planner. The main difference is that this app does not have a grades & GPA calculator like iStudiez Pro. It has everything else such as scheduling and organizing assignments/tasks and setting reminders. All of the data can be synced to various devices.

Studious

This is a homework planner with a twist. In addition to having a task and course planner, Studious also allows students to print and scan documents straight from their phone! Now that is impressive! There is also an option to take notes and email professors. This app also has the sync option.

myHomework

myHomework is another student planner app that helps to organize all of your student life online. The developers state that its simplicity is what makes it one of the best student planner apps. You can sync all of your data, set up calendars, track your classes and create reminders.

Remember The Milk

This name is definitely creative! We’ve all had those times; you go to the grocery store to get a particular item and end up leaving with everything EXCEPT what you came to get. Remember The Milk focuses less on homework and studying. It is more of a to-do list app where you can create lists/assign tasks to other people and share it with them. Instead of thinking about your to-dos the app remembers for you! Like all the other apps, this one can be synced as well.
