Currently serving as the Director of International Admissions and Recruitment at the University at Albany State University of New York, John has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Concordia University, graduate studies in public relations from McGill University, and a Masters in Educational Administration from the University at Albany. He began his tenure at the University at Albany as an international student from Canada, where he has since dedicated his career to International Recruitment and Admissions. He has traveled extensively to more than 30 countries to actively recruit for the University at Albany.
John has a successful and fruitful career overseeing international enrollment management, marketing, recruitment, and administrating these in varied contexts. He brings more than 25 years of experience in international recruitment and education. He has executed a strategic international recruitment plan that has lead to significant enrollment growth and advancement for Albany. He negotiates and manages international institutional agreements and his international outreach continues to expand on partnerships with governmental agencies, Ministries of Education, universities, international schools and other associations.
He has served as a board member on numerous education organizations and has presented frequently at international, national and regional conferences on strategic international recruitment and admissions.
