Marlene has more than 35 yrs. of experience as a Cross Border expert both personally and professionally. As an accredited Financial Planner she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, PFP, IFIC & additional designations from the Institute of Canadian Bankers. She also holds a degree in Urban Studies and Economic. Marlene has been a strong collaborator for RBC USA since inception celebrating 20 yr in 2024, networking with her partners & COl's on both sides of the border. She has led with advice, sharing the benefits of the unique Cross-Border banking, while serving as the voice to the consumer (families, snowbirds, expats, students and individuals) who travel, work and live in the U.S. She has been featured on several podcasts and radio across the Nation immersing herself in educating Canadians on the benefits of Cross Border banking. As a part of the Canada-Florida Chamber of Commerce, she is also actively engaged with several Chambers throughout the State of Florida.

PREPSKILLS helps navigate this process by giving families the tools, resources and connections to maximize opportunities. Joanna created the US College Expo in Canada and PrepConnect events to help families explore their educational pathways. Education is really about resourcefulness. As a certified teacher and passionate mom-preneur, Joanna is always looking for ways to ensure that students connect with these opportunities and get the valuable information they need to make informed decisions about education.
